Copped a bumper with mud flaps and driver arch molding from a local pick-n-pull

Never planned to buy two pathys but when it dawned on me that most of the parts would be interchangeable I just thought I'd do a few quick & easy things like seats and window switches etc.

That quickly went out the window as I kept digging deeper into Patherine. Here's what the blue pathy looked like. base model, auto, BUT had a much better looking (IMO) black/dark grey interior.













Whereas Patherine has this...









I mean I didn't hate it, but there was just sooo mcuh light tan + my sis has two doggos so figured black/dark grey would work out much better.

Long story short, picked up two 2001 pathys in order to give one to my sis. The second blue one (I thought i'd give to my sis) turned out to be a turd so instead I took everything good from the blue pathy and put it into the much cooler gold pathy.

The day I picked it up:

I made a new version of the mounting plates. Picked up the unix tie rod flip and ball joint extenders, and started assembling the 11" corrado g60 brake upgrade

Mocked up a version 2 of the mounting plates. They seem to fit well. Now to wrap em with carpet. Any suggestions on which carpet looks like oem VW trunk carpet.

Also installed some r32 control arm bushings

Rear end is coming together. Now I need to make it all pretty. Mk2 gli rear beam, banchwerks drop plates, mk3 discs, mk4 calipers, lines and parking brake cables, neuspeed rear sway, bagsbyocd , and airlift leader lines

so remember that two tone i picked up 3+ years ago? well i put it up for sale like 3-4 times and kept having people flake/back out. didn't really want to sell it anyway, just didn't have time... until now!

the old single cam had a severely fucked up head. cam journals scored as hell so out it goes

gotta replace this bent ass lower beam on the cherry picker. almost tipped over on me while the motor was hanging over the rad support, so i had to just drag the end of the trans over it cuz i was scared to go any higher :wtc:



i'm gonna rebuild the sr out of the green car for the 17.46th time. then all i need is an exhaust manifold, a t28, fmic, and clutch pedal assembly and it should be ready for some fun, but i'm sure i'll find some dumb shit to do along the way. i'm trying to retain all the creature comforts like ac and cruise control so that may complicate things. SIP for 3 more weeks we'll see if i can finish before the end
