So one day I was browsing the auctions for work, and stumbled across this thing. Original paint 72 G20 Beauville Sportvan, and oh what a piece of shit it is. I couldn't help it though, it looks decent enough, so I ended up winning the thing for all of $150 (might've been $175 w/e), and after fee's, about $300.

I'm gonna use this thread to get me to actually work on the damn thing.

Plans are:
700R4 trans swap
C Notch / Hydraulics
a factory color repaint

AND ENJOY

First things first, these are the photos I bought it off of. I had very low expectations.

When it showed up at our other shop before bringing it home, my buddy sam pressure washing it off for me.

As you can see, it definitely needed some tires. Normally on old cars I only like to run a bias ply style tire, but was worried about a 560-15 with the weight of the van. After doing some research, found out a 155R15 Galaxy was almost identical in dimensions, and i really ended up liking the look.

Now the fun part, I bought this thing sight unseen knowing it wasn't running. I was pretty much ready to just find a small block to toss in. After a new battery, water pump, fuel pump, and a few other little things, it's runnin'.

The main reason I bought this thing is cause it's a trimmed out window van, with just about every pop out possible. Problem, some of em got broken hinges, so excuse the tape.

Had some fun with it trying to work out the bugs

Driving it around, and found the first big problem, I didn't replace the gas tank, or clean it out. So this thing choked itself to death, and after trying to pump the pedal to get it POSSIBLY back started up to get home, it wasn't having it. Either was the original throttle cable, snapped, and had no extra, so it got a tow home.

and now we're here. Ended up having a hell of a time finding a new tank for it, got it up on stands to get crackin but haven't yet. Will update again this week!

Old pic with my old wagon and truck just for fun.

Thanks bro, it's gonna be a while for the fab work and all that, but after I slap the tank back in and start the front steering work, i'm gonna bring it down to earth a little too.  8)

Love this thing. Motivation increases when you can drive it lol. Just get it running again and use it as a local cruiser. Maybe cut the springs for some cool points lol
